Sorry, Julie is currently unavailable...
Julie asked me to let you all know that she won't be able to post to her blog or respond to email for a few days since she recently sprained her finger trying to put Emma into her car seat and therefore cannot type. Hopefully her finger will be healed in a couple of days.

If anyone's counting, this is the second time this past year that our 2-year old has sent Julie to the ER.

Julie, I'm sorry to hear that - it must be very frustrating not to be able to use your hand. :(

Re: Emma sending you to the ER - yeah, kids will do that sort of thing...

Hope it heals - kids will start to look for other things to break when Mommy and Daddy aren't "available" :)

So that'll be "one hand clapping" irl for a while, then. Poor Julie. Hope it heals soon.

Actually that will be "no hand clapping" in real life since she only had one to begin with.

Oh...I am so sorry. A lesson in not making glib comments. Many many apologies as I shrink & blush with embarassment - and even more intensive prayers for a speedy healing.

What alwasy amazes and impresses me is how much she types with her one hand. Considering how much trouble I have typing with my two I stand in awe. may you recvoer quickly.

Kent, we had a one-handed associate at a place where I used to work. He sometimes typed with a specially-designed one-handed keyboard. He could type about as fast as the rest of us two-handed folks.

And even with a regular keyboard he could still type fairly fast. You ought to see me try to type one-handed. It isn't very pretty.

    ;-)

Julie: Kids are wonderful! And they really are worth the pain they sometimes cause. May your finger heal fast. God's blessings.

Seriously, it looks like the first reason that Emma sent you to the ER was for your left arm. A sprained finger is nothing, comparatively. :-)
