So Emma is beginning to be fasinated with all things Christmas. She knows who Santa Claus is - and actually sat on his lap this year (as opposed to the screaming in terror from last year). She points out every "mis-mas" tree she sees and has to start singing "winkle winkle witwil tar" every time she sees a star. (just like the ABC song gets sung whenever she sees letters - which means all the time). It's really cute. She likes the Christmas tree and tries to pull off all the ornaments - especially the Star Wars figures ones. I don't know if I should be scared or flattered that she calls the Princess Leia from ROTJ in the metal bikini "mommy." She also likes to play with her "baby Jesus, mommy, baa-baa, and woof-woof" set. We have the Fisher-Price Little People Nativity which is great for her to play with although I'm pretty sure there were no Border Collies at the manger and that the Holy Family weren't all white with blond hair while the manual laboring shepherds were all hispanics... Not that Emma knows what any of this means, she's just fasinated with it all. And we are having fun watching her discover. So tis the season for cute family stuff, so be prepared for this blog to be heavy on the Emma stuff this month!

Enjoy this age, it slips by so quickly. When they are 18 they have impressive expectations that are hard to meet.
