In light of the bombing in London there actually was very little media time given to the G8 summit. This release
from the Make Poverty History site sums up some of the basic issues addressed there. While the world leaders seem to be moving towards moving in the right direction all they are doing is taking baby steps. Meanwhile millions suffer needlessly.
Interestingly Bill Clinton has started the Clinton Global Initiative to see what the private sector can do about some of the problems around the world. He is planning a summit event for this fall. Read about it here
