Here's a thread of hope to grasp at, though it is purely speculation. Maybe they didn't resolve it satisfactorily because they're planning on making a movie to wrap it all up?!? Also, TV writers often freely admit that they have no idea where a show is going when they write certain key episodes. They are just trying to make the best show possible for that episode and will figure out how to resolve it later, especially when it comes to season finale cliffhangers. Unfortunately it sounds like they dropped the ball when it came to wrapping up the show this time! But despite the warning I'm still looking forward to spending several hours in front of the TV when I get home catching up on the last half of the season and the finale! :)
Haven't watched it yet - we watched 24 which was also terrible.
So thanks for not spoiling anything. Though it doesn't sound like there was much to spoil? Shoot, I'm with you concerning LOST. I'm getting tired of huge letdowns and boring finales.....
Doesn't it make you wonder if the writers ever knew what they were doing, or if they're only making it up as they go?
